We’re thrilled to feature Sharon Frey in the Gallery at Le Shag! Sharon is a portraiture and figurative artist whose work captures the beauty of the human form through both traditional realism and contemporary abstraction. Her art explores the intersection of structure and emotion, creating pieces that are as thought-provoking as they are visually stunning. The first week of Sharon’s exhibit at Le Shag has sparked an incredible buzz—not just for the stunning detail and artistry of her work but also for the familiar celebrity faces that make appearances in her paintings.

Before diving back into the art world, Sharon spent 20 years as a social worker, dedicating herself to helping others. At the height of the pandemic, she found her way back to her first passion—visual art—and hasn’t looked back since.

Since rediscovering her passion, Sharon has showcased her work in group exhibitions throughout the Hudson Valley and had her debut solo show in the summer of 2022 at Cunneen Hackett in Poughkeepsie, NY. She paints from her basement studio and welcomes visitors during the annual Kingston Art Walk, where she transforms her open garage studio into a vibrant showcase of her work.

Sharon is excited to be part of Le Shag’s creative community, and we’re equally excited to have her. Stop by to experience her incredible work. It will be on display at Le Shag until Spring.
